Yesterday, we have HOV (Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. ) with all rsi7m, rsi7w, and rsi7 daily under 30s . HOV design, constructs, and sell Condo single houses. and so on.

So here is some past history where its rsi7 values were below 30s.

And here is the graph from finance.google.com.

The red circle that I marked indicates the period where the stock was at the lowest point in the last year and they do match with the above RSI7 history (8/9 ~ 8/14).

Also , note that the stock was in the price range of $70 during the year 2005.

Many people forecast grim housing market so I believe it would be better to watch the stock for a while.

I am using this Tax Return Preparation Software for about 3 years now. Before that time, I went to CPA for the help, but I had some arguments with one of the CPAs and decided do it by myself.

Preparing Tax Return was not an easy task at first, but I am kind of used to it and feeling comfortable. I was able to finish it off within few hours.

But this year, I have lots of trading transaction entries in my 1099-B form and the software I am using does not provide the functionalities to calculate the Wash sale. So I just spent 6 hours try to understand what is the Wash Sale and how to calculate them.

I am a fan of Mr. Bill Cara’s blog. He has many years of experiences and insights and shares many valuable information with the rest of us for free!

Mr. Bill Cara has advised accumulation zone of SNDK and MU on March 1st 2007 in his blog. (Here is the link)

Let’s see how they played out.

SNDK was indeed severely low in terms of RSI7 values. Also, it is interesting that previous case of LOW RSI7 value was 3 years ago and it was only $19.

And the price of SNDK is $44.88 as of last Friday. That is more than $7 and 20% gain.

Maybe that is triggered by seveal factors -financial institution upgraded the stock to BUY and positive outlook for the increase in FLASH memory prices , but still, it is amazing!

For the case of MU, it is not doing well yet.
It was $11.86 on 3/1/2007 and was 11.59 last friday.

But it’s also interesting that MU was below 30 around 2005 in Jan and Apr lasted quite few days. So I guess for MU, it may take a little more time to recover.

Please note that RSI7 indicators are not the definitive indicator. Especially with the current volatile market condition, you need to be really careful.

Since I have started a separate blog for Stock related items, I decided to try a new theme. I have searched and tried few themes but I found that the Blogging Pro theme is the best nice looking theme.

I have spent several hours to add Ajax Stock quote in the right side menu. But in order to show the Ajax Stock quote, I needed some extra space more than defined by the default style.css. So , I decided to move all menu to the right side (SRR) menu DIV. It still doesn’t look quite right, but I can live with that for now.

I am planning to add extra Ajax RSI search tool on top of the menu div very soon (hopely)
And subscribe mailling list function for you to receive mail every day.
